Installing pressure and temp guages on TH350... |

2008-07-28· GoldenOne7710 said: If I were going to install a temp gauge for the trans fluid, then I'd plumb it into the cooling lines somewhere. Someone makes a "T-block" with a fitting that you could screw a temp sensor into. You might consider doing the pressure sensor in the output line and the temp in the return line. Just a thought.

TH400/ tranny temp guage. Where do i put sender? - Off ...

2002-06-17· If you put one in the return line from the cooler, all you know is what the temp is of the fluid after the cooler, not what the tyranny operating temp actually is. The mass of fluid, (If you have a TH-400 Invest in a deep pan and filter pick up extension) is the directly returned fluid from the workings of the transmission. This mass will hold the temp better, and it's a more accurate ...

Tranny temp gauge sensor; where to put it?

2009-07-30· 1st. or Front Port is the Front Servo Port; I have seen guys ruin their transmissions by putting a temp sensor in here. If your temp sensor probe is long enough it will actually make contact with the spring in the front servo, causing problems in 2nd gear apply cycle. This pressure port only has oil in it when you are in 3rd gear, & 4th gear ...

2021-06-15· Measure with a multimeter to see whether you get both 12 volts and ground to the shift solenoid at the plug on the transmission on the affected pin. If you do not get both 12 volts and ground – you may have a wiring problem or a faulty TCM ( transmission control unit ). If you get 12 volts and ground and the shift solenoid trouble code keeps coming back after you have erased it, you probably ...

Best place to install trans temp sensor? | Pirate 4x4

2007-04-25· Hands down the best place (and only logical place) to put the temp sensor is in the fluid line between the trans and the cooler. You want to measure the fluid's temp after it leaves the trans and BEFORE it reaches the cooler to get an accurate reading on just how hot the fluid is getting. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. Save Share. Reply. F. FullsizeYota · Registered ...

How do you get a temperature sensor from a transistor?

2017-10-27· In addition to a PN junction in a diode, a semiconductor junction temperature sensor can be achieved by short circuiting the collector-base junction of a bipolar transistor to create a diode. When constant current passes through the base-emitter junction it produces a voltage between the base and emitter (Vbe) that is a linear function of the absolute temperature. The overall forward voltage ...

Installing a Transmission Temperature Gauge

Now you need to put a hole in the transmission pan. Our kit came with two different plugs, one substantially larger than the other. We decided to install the larger plug because it gave the sensor much more contact area with the trans fluid. By some happy coincidence, the larger plug is the exact right size to use a 3/8" hole cutter on a power drill.

2006 jeep wrangler auto transmission | Jeep Wrangler Forum

2011-09-08· Well I would definitely say there is something wrong with a temp sensor somewhere. There is no way the trans temp could reach 1600 degrees. As for the hard shifting my Jeep with 85,000 miles on really cold mornings shifts hard but that is because the fluid is cold and the TC won't lock up until it reaches operating temperature causing the RPM's to run a little higher.
